Description:

Harborside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a not-for-profit facility serving residents in Baltimore City and surrounding areas. Our healthcare center is centrally located within the historic and medical districts of Downtown Baltimore. We have 165 comprehensive care beds which are dually licensed for Medicare and Medicaid.

Today skilled nursing facilities do more than care for long term residents. We also help people recover from surgery, injury or serious illness. Our team of professionals understand the importance of creating a warm, comfortable place for all residents, whether they are here for short term treatment or long term care.

Going beyond the traditional role of a “nursing home”, we deliver care to a diverse population of residents with ages ranging from 24-91. Long- and short-term programs are specifically designed for each resident to help them achieve their goals and maximize independence. We provide services for stroke/orthopedic rehabilitation, post-surgical care, IV therapy, pain management, complex wound care, complex multi-system management, respite stays, specific diagnosis treatments for Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDs), IV drug abusers, and more. Contact one of our personal care representatives today to discuss your care needs.

Harborside employs full time Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Geriatric Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners to serve as an extension to each resident’s physician and assist with closer monitoring. We also employ a Registered Dietician, Social Service Workers, and Activity Professionals to work in addressing all resident needs—both physical and emotional. A Medical Director and Infectious Disease Physician are also part of our multi-disciplinary team here at Harborside.
